Kaneohe

Though our ‘official’ office is in downtown Honolulu, much of the magic happens on the windward side of Oahu where many of the Ocupop team now lives.

The legend of Kaneohe describes an old man who lived above town in dense bamboo forest. Children were warned, “if you disobey and wander into the forest, Kane’ohe, the bamboo man, would surely kill you.”  One day, a young boy ignored the warnings and forged deep into the woods to discover not death, but enlightenment. He heard music and singing and found the feared Kane’ohe playing a bamboo flute. The old man shared his story, and ultimately, his doctrine of creativity, saying, ”Often, creativity loses itself if people don’t actively seek it out.” So here we are, in those same hills, seeking our creativity on behalf of our clients day in and day out.

Oh yeah, and the office overlooks Giligan’s Island…yup, the actual Giligan’s Island.
